The Full form of UPSC is Union Public Service Commission. It is India's premier central recruiting agency that conducts exams for All India services and central services (Group A and B).

 

The minimum age for UPSC is 21, and the maximum is 32. However, candidates who belong to categories, other than General category have relaxations to the upper age limit.

 

Candidate must be a citizen of India as these particular posts are reserved only for the Indian citizens.

 

The number of attempts differs as per the category. General candidates - 6 attempts, OBC candidates - 9 attempts and SC/ST candidates have no bar. Physically disabled General and OBC - 9 attempts, and SC/ST physically disabled have no bar.

 

Candidates should have at least completed a bachelor's degree in any subject/field from a recognised university. Those appearing for final year exams or awaiting final year results are also eligible.
