The IBPS Pre Exam training is held free of cost. Candidates belonging to categories such as Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Minority Communities are only eligible.

 

It varies based on category type.

  • General/OBC: Rs. 600/-
  • SC/ST/PH: Rs. 100/-

The number of seats against each vacancy may vary. While in 2018 there were 4,252 vacant seats, in 2017 only 3,562 seats were available.

 

Recently, the 'Computer Aptitude' and 'Data Interpretation and Analysis' sections have been reintroduced in the IBPS PO exam. The number of questions has been reduced from 200 to 155. Essay and Letter writing for 25 marks has been introduced as part of the English descriptive paper.

 

For IBPS PO Mains, the duration is 3 hours 30 minutes (including 30 mins. for the descriptive section), while for IBPS Prelims it is 1 hour (60 minutes).
